There is an ebay china shop that sells counterfeit guitars. Some of them look quite decent copies from the photos but other are clearly defective. I have reported this seller on many occasions but this seller continues to trade with impunity. Maybe he is an ebay employee. An experienced ebayer can easily spot a fraudulent item. They do not have the experience to spot the telltale signs with things like dodgy feedback and inappropriate payment methods. A new ebayer who finds that his search has produced what he or she wants at a fraction of the price (including shipping) is not to know that the item is not genuine. The prospect of a 'bargain' seems to overtake all rationality and common sense and before you can say Western Union the money has gone from their account and the seller has disappeared in the same amount of time.
